A finish line I wasn’t sure I’d ever see again (and why I’m thanking God today) 🏃‍♀️🪵

A year ago, after plantar fasciitis and a collapsed big-toe joint sidelined me for two straight racing seasons, I genuinely didn't know if my feet would ever let me run the trails again. When you’re sidelined, it’s so easy to feel frustrated and think, “Well, maybe this is just what getting older looks like.” Instead, I chose to surrender the timeline and trust the Lord with the slow, unglamorous work of healing. For two years, I couldn't run this race, so I volunteered at it. I did the physical therapy exercises. I worked on foot mechanics, mobility, anti-inflammatory nutrition, and cellular support. I practiced patience when I wanted fast results. This past weekend, God gave me the grace to line up at the S’more Fun Trail Run 10K at Mirror Lake. Not only did my feet hold up without pain, but I finished in 1:09:33 (an 11:12 pace), took 1st place in the female 60–69 division, and beat my finish time from three years ago by 2 minutes and 26 seconds! 🎉 Crossing that finish line, the overwhelming emotion wasn't pride, it was pure, unfiltered GRATITUDE . Gratitude to God for how He designed our bodies to heal, adapt, and rebuild when we steward them faithfully. Here’s why I’m sharing this in our Wins channel: My goal is never to say, "Go run a 10K." My goal is to remind you that your story isn't over just because you hit a bump. Whether your win this week is walking a full mile, saying no to sugar, doing your first strength session, or getting back up after an injury: every step of faithful effort matters to God. 👇 Now it’s your turn! What is ONE win, big or small that you’re celebrating and thanking God for this week? Brag on yourself below so we can cheer you on!
